A new President and Congress have been elected, the financial markets remain uncertain and FFELP faces significant challenges. We invite you to attend NCHELP's 2009 Leadership Conference on January 5-7 in San Diego to better understand this environment. These are tumultuous times and only the organizations that plan for change and even embrace it will prosper. As Yogi Berra said "When you Come to a Fork in the Road -- Take It." Experts on politics, the budget, FFELP and the credit markets will lay the groundwork for the coming year and help you prepare your organization for a time of enormous change and the best road to take.
HOTEL ROOM RATE HAS BEEN EXTENDED UNTIL DEMCEMBER 17th!
ROOM RATE:
The NCHELP group room rate is $209 Single/Double, exclusive of applicable state and local taxes. Please make your reservation at your earliest convenience. Contact Stefanie Gramm (sgramm@nchelp.org), NCHELP Meetings Manager if you experience any problems with room reservations.
HOTEL RESERVATION PROCEDURE:
Attendees may telephone the Reservation Department by calling (619) 231-6664 or (888) 444-6664. Reference must be given to the National Council of Higher Education Loan Programs to assure the group rate. All reservations must be guaranteed for arrival with a major credit card and/or a first room night deposit.
CUT-OFF DATE:
The hotel will accept reservations until the cut-off date of December 17, 2008 or until the NCHELP room block is full, whichever comes first. After that date all rooms remaining in the group block will be returned to the hotel's general inventory for sale to other groups and individuals.
ROOM CANCELLATION:
Reservations may be canceled up to 72 hours prior to arrival without penalty. If cancellation of reservation takes place within 72 hours of the scheduled arrival one night's room revenue will be charged.
CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT TIMES:
Check-in time is 3:00 p.m. Check-out time is 12:00 noon

San Diego International Airport – 14 minutes, 4 miles
Taxi: Approx. $13 one way
ATTIRE:
Dress is business casual. The average high//low temperature in San Diego in January is 66/50 degrees.
