First-Runner Up Postsecondary Electronic Standards Council (PESC) 2008 Best Practices Award
Campus-Based Authentication model for Meteor was awarded First Runner-Up for PESC’s 2008 Best Practices Competition.
2003 Jean S. Frohlicher Outstanding Service Award
At the 2003 NCHELP Spring Convention, the Jean S. Fohlicher Outstanding Service Award was presented to the Meteor Advisory Team (MAT) for its dedication and success in developing, implementing and supporting the Meteor Project.
The NCHELP Board of Directors established the Frohlicher award in February of 1999. This annual award recognizes Jean’s life-long commitment to making postsecondary dreams a reality for millions of students and her never-ending contributions to the National Council of Higher Education Loan Programs. The award is presented to an individual, or individuals, whose efforts and accomplishments are consistent with the qualities Jean exemplified.
Postsecondary Electronic Standards Council (PESC) 2002 Best Practices Award
The Meteor Project is the winner of the Postsecondary Electronic Standards Council (PESC) 2002 Best Practices Award. The award was presented at the PESC Annual Conference to Tim Cameron of the National Council of Higher Education Loan Programs (NCHELP) on behalf of the Meteor Advisory Team.
The PESC Best Practices Award recognizes organizations or individuals that have made a concerted effort to design and implement electronic standardization initiatives or foster the use of standards through published articles or other media.
